Who is Scissorman?
Scissorman (aka Tim Wheeler) has been involved with the Little Princess Trust for many years and is currently chair of trustees. The idea for Scissorman grew from suggestions made by children in the school where Tim was head and he has now run 18 marathons and 13 half marathons in the costume, which is 2m tall and weighs over 7kg. Scissorman has appeared on BBC TV and radio and enjoyed countless conversations about the work of the charity with spectators and fellow runners.
Tim gives inspirational talks to children, setting out Scissorman's Six Steps to Resilience, and also shares with adults his experience of leadership and how to navigate difficult times. He is always happy to visit schools to talk to children and is a regular guest at prize givings. He is also available for leadership seminars and business events. Tim was awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to charity and education.
